Can I have some advise on mixing the drums?

Was up playa,
My name is Mike, I'm a producer like yourself. I peeped ya page on hip hop directory and was really feeling your production.
I got platinum beats but I lack the tight mixing of the drums. I have a Korg Triton LE and was wondering if you were willing to share a few pointers on how you get your mix to sound as good as it does.

Thanxs in advance,

What up Michael,
I'm glad to hear you are feeling my work. Thanks.
So, you want to know about mixing drums, huh?
OK, the first thing I need to know when somebody asks a question about drums is, what are you using to make your drums now?
Since you say that you have a Korg Triton, that must be what you are also using for the drums. And that is the problem right there.

It is a must that you purchase an Akai MPC drum machine. It will be the best gift you ever bought yourself. The MPC makes the drums cut through the mix better than a keyboard can simulate. Since you're also making rap beats, the drums are a very important element of your music. Although you can make rap beats on one keyboard, it isn't recommended. If your keyboard has a sampling feature, make sure you use it to sample some of your drum sounds. That will add some dynamics to your beats.

Hope this helps.
Have fun homie!
